Sixty-Five Main is conveniently located between the towns of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. Iconic sights such as Hepburn Bathhouse, Lake House, Convent Gallery, Lavendula, Lake Daylesford and wonderful things to do such as dining, spas and walks are on our doorstep, by foot, car or taxi.
Check in is from 2pm for ROOM bookings or 3pm for WHOLE HOUSE bookings. Given that staff are not always on site, guests are invited to text 0438 379 450 with desired arrival time so that key collection arrangements can be confirmed. If staff cannot be on site then a self check in process is applied.
Check out is usually 10am. A late check-out of 11am is available for $25 but must be booked in advance.
Direct Bookings
Café breakfast vouchers for one morning are included when a guest books a minimum of two nights directly through the Sixty-Five Main Website or by Phone and Email unless booking a Room Only discounted rate.
Room Only or other Online Booking Websites
Breakfast is not provided for ‘room only’ bookings or third party online booking sites such as wotif.com, bookings.com, expedia.com etc. Book direct through 65main.com for the best deal.
Whole House Bookings and Retreats
Breakfast is only served in-house when included in a bespoke itinerary for group stays and retreats. There are a variety of breakfast options available to guests. Breakfast inclusions depend on the specific package chosen.
Yes. There are a range of bedding configurations perfect for 2, 3, 4 or 5 guests. Note, standard pricing is based on 2 people in a queen or king bed. Surcharges apply for additional beds or making rooms twin share. See our options below for more than two people or twin share.

Up to 12 guests can sleep onsite with the use of 1 fold down, 1 single, 1 queen and 4 king twin beds. Our Concierge Service can create bespoke group or corporate retreats for 10 to 50 with the use of other nearby accommodation houses within a short walk. We have one car space provided for each guest room. Maximum of 5 car spaces are provided for ‘5 bedroom self contained’ bookings. Parking is free.
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the house and you will be given connection details when you arrive.
We offer personalised gift vouchers via email which are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. These can be for a dollar value only or you can create your own special voucher with accommodation, extras and any of our packages included. Purchase a Gift Voucher Now.
We love kids! Well behaved children who are supervised by parents at all times are welcome. If your children don’t have ‘boundaries’ or are free spirited then an alternative property is recommended. The rooms most suitable for infants and small children are ROOM ONE or ROOM TWO and THREE. Parents are welcome to bring their own cot and/or additional beds can be arranged with 72 hours advance notice. Guests with a ‘self contained or whole house booking’ can allocate children to whichever rooms they desire.
Note: any damage caused by sticky fingers or little people will incur fees to your credit card. Nappies are to be disposed of in external bins after stay. There are stairs and a large spa on site, it's essential parents ensure their children’s safety.
No. We love pets but the property is not suitable for furkids.
No. There are cafés, pubs, casual and fine dining close by and further afield. See our Food & Wine section for some of our favourites. The Sixty-Five Main concierge service may arrange for in-house catering for groups or during special events. Our concierge team can create bespoke dining packages as an optional extra which perfectly match your tastebuds.
Daylesford taxi service is available 7 days and may be contacted on 5348 1111. Once a room booking has been made we can assist with FREE transfers to nearby pubs or a driver to visit nearby wineries.
Yes, every guest has access to tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the dining room. Fresh milk is also provided for a cuppa. Guests are invited to bring speciality milk or additional milk if they have requirements beyond a hot drink. ROOM ONE has tea & coffee caddy for your convenience.
After an ‘eco audit’ which focussed on energy consumption and noise comfort, it was recommended that fridges should not be installed in the guest bedrooms. There is a guest fridge in the dining room for your use. Another larger fridge is provided in the kitchen for use with WHOLE HOUSE bookings.
Not for ROOM bookings. Cooking facilities in the kitchen are available for groups with a WHOLE HOUSE booking.
No. The rooms are not suitable for in-room massage. On site massage may be provided in a treatment space designed for guests who book a multi day Health & Wellbeing Retreat.
Our Concierge Service is designed to match the guest perfectly with the best day spa or treatment provider which suits your specific needs. Guests are required to navigate up seven stairs to access Sixty-Five Main. Once inside the house all common areas (Billiard Room, Reading Room, Dining Room and Decks) are on an even level, without steps. ROOM FOUR is the most suitable bedroom for guests with restricted mobility or those using a mobility aid. ROOM FOUR also features a spacious open shower with a non stick floor surface. Sixty-Five Main is not suitable for electric wheelchairs.
All rooms have a TV/DVD player and our library has a large selection of DVD's to choose from. Our lounge also has a billiard table for guest use and books and magazines to read by the fire in the Reading Room.

These locations are at the Daylesford end of our road, a 5 minute car or taxi drive.


Terms & Conditions

Please read prior to booking

All reservations are secured with a 50% deposit on a credit card with balance payable 7 days prior to arrival date for room only bookings, 30 days prior to arrival date for whole house bookings. We accept Visa, Visa Debit and Mastercard, a 3% bank fee applies. Online deposit may be available by arrangement. Please read all our terms and conditions in regard to your stay, balance payments, transfers and cancellations before booking as a booking will consitute acceptance of these terms. These terms are non negotiable, guests are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance where a late cancellation may lead to payment in full.

DEPOSITS: All reservations are secured with a 50 – 100% deposit on a credit card with balance being payable 7 days prior to arrival date for room only bookings, 30 days prior to arrival date for whole house bookings. We accept Visa and Mastercard, a 3% bank fee applies. Online deposit may be available by arrangement.
FINAL PAYMENT: Room only: required 7 days prior to arrival. Whole House: required 30 days prior to arrival.
BOND – WHOLE HOUSE: A $500 bond is required to secure the reservation. The bond will be refunded if the property is left clean and tidy, bins emptied, dishes rinsed and placed in the dishwasher, all keys returned, property secured at all times, furniture left where originally found and there is no damage/stains to property or contents.
ROOM ONLY: You can change your booked dates up to 15 days prior to arrival. A $25 admin charge will apply. 14 days or less prior to your arrival date the cancellation policy will apply. Cancellations more than 14 days prior to your arrival date: Deposit refunded minus $100 cancellation fee. Cancellation 8 – 14 days prior to arrival date: Forfeit of any monies received. Please note that in all instances we will endeavour to rebook your cancelled dates – if it is possible to rebook your dates a $50 fee will apply. The rebooked dates would be fully non-cancellable. Please note that Gift Vouchers are non-refundable.
WHOLE HOUSE: As the whole house has been reserved specifically for you, a no transfer or cancellation policy applies to whole house bookings. All monies received will be forfeited.
CANCELLATION BY 65 Main: 65 Main reserves the right to cancel your booking in the unlikely event that it is deemed to be in your best interests. This would include extreme bushfire risk, an extended power or gas outage or damage to your booked accommodation due to storms or other means. In this instance you will be given as much notice as feasibly possible and be provided assistance in securing alternative accommodation. You will be refunded in full any deposits already paid and receive a 10% discount on your next booking at 65 Main.
SIXTY-FIVE MAIN is a no-smoking property and for the comfort of all our guests we do not allow pets or stag parties.
BOOKING DEFINITION: Room Bookings: 1 – 3 bedrooms in guest house environment, guests can enjoy shared use of the billiard room, dining room, library, and tea and coffee – NO USE of cooking facilities. Whole House Bookings: 4 -5 bedrooms and exclusive use of guesthouse, guests can enjoy use of billiard room, dining room, library, kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, tea and coffee. BBQ if requested in advance.
Only the ROOM ONE or ROOM TWO are suitable for children under 8 years of age – any bookings made through this website or through 3rd party websites will not be accepted or refunded if children under 8 are booked in alternative rooms.
There is one carpark on site per room, if guests have multiple cars they will be asked to park additional cars offsite.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY, ACCEPTABLE USE AND OTHER TERMS: 65 Main caters for a maximum of 2 persons in all rooms unless arrangements have been made with management prior to stay. On advance request fold-away beds may be supplied at an additional cost. Please note that if more than 2 persons are found to be staying in any room 65 Main reserves the right to apply an additional booking charge of $100 per night.
Please note that 65 Main expressly prohibits ‘parties’ in rooms for the comfort of all guests. Guests are not permitted to invite third parties onto the premises or grounds of 65 Main without prior approval in writing by management. In-house massage or similar therapies are not permitted. The use of cookers/camping stoves are not permitted inside or outside 65 Main for safety reasons. Any breach of acceptable use and other terms will incur charges. Please note 65 Main accepts no liability for damages or losses to personal property.
MANAGEMENT/STAFF ACCESS: Whole house booking: Guest booking is for exclusive use of house with internal living areas/decks. Carpark/external grounds may be accessed by management. No staff will enter the house without your invitation unless it is necessary for maintenance/operational functions. Room Only booking: No staff will enter your room without your invitation unless it is necessary for maintenance/operational functions.
65 Main reserves the right to charge your credit card with any items that have been removed from the property, or if any damage occurs to the property. Please note that if special cleaning is required to a room (that is, due to staining carpet or the like) an additional charge may be applied of at least $100.
Please note that 65 Main is non-smoking inside – cigarette disposal containers are supplied outside. Smoking inside the property is not permitted and additional cleaning charges apply if this occurs. If you do not agree with any of these charges please contact us as soon as possible.
